Layali Al-Sham is the first and only world music ensemble in the University of Texas at El Paso Department of Music. The ensemble focuses on Arabic music and performs regularly in the El Paso, TX area. Jecoa was a member of the group between 2011 and 2016, and his contributions included playing the ‘ud, acoustic and electric guitar, and singing.
